Comparison with the Sony FX820
I have both this unit - the LG DP885 and the Sony FX820, so this is comparing these 2 units and bringing out the strengths / weaknesses of both. This is not so much of a technical review, but more from a functional point of view.

Exterior

Glass screen - creates more glare
This is a nice player with a very good picture. However, if you're using it in the car, the glass screen creates more glare than an LCD would. The swivel screen is nice for positioning, but if you have two kids watching it (as we do), they may bicker about moving the screen (as they did). Overall the player seems reliable and works well with good sound, even while driving over bumps in the road etc. The red is a nice color but leaves a lot of fingerprints.
